Advancing biobank research initiatives

We believe that Biobank data are the most underutilized data in biomedical research today, and we exist to drive research that will lead to life-saving translational therapeutic and diagnostic development programs.

Research grant

The Network Bio Research Foundation has been created to facilitate and support grants for Biobank Research projects. Researchers who focus on biobank establishment and development are encouraged to submit applications on relevant potential research in our key indications.

Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, both the biobank and the project concept must focus on metabolic, cardiovascular, immune/inflammatory, and fibrotic diseases.

Additionally, biobanks must be located in the United States.

Benefits

These grants cover the sequencing of biospecimens and provide research support. In addition to the grant, recipients will receive access to the larger Network Bio Research Foundation network and expert staff.

Process

Step 1

A pre-application is required.

In the pre-application, we ask you to tell us more about your proposed research project, the volume and type of biospecimens in your repository, and your experience as a principal investigator.

Step 2

We will review your pre-application.

A responsive pre-application will propose high-impact disease research that can be performed with multi-omic data generated from the biospecimens in your biorepository.

Step 3

We will provide feedback on all pre-applications.

If your pre-application is selected, we will reach out to you to perform a final application that incorporates a detailed budget, data generation plan, and consent / collection process review.

Timeline

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. There is no deadline for submission.
